Skin Health From Within: What Your Skin Is Telling You

Smiling woman in a green top sits on a light couch by a bright window, with long wavy brown hair and a cheerful mood.

Okay SO.

Your skin has been trying to tell you something.

And I don't mean in a dramatic way. I mean in the quiet, easy-to-ignore way that most of us brush off because we're busy and we just don't have time to deal with one more thing.

Dull skin. Random breakouts. Dryness that no moisturizer actually fixes. Puffiness. That feeling where you look in the mirror and something just seems... off.

I used to blame it on stress. Or not drinking enough water. Or just getting older. Or being pregnant. Or WHATEVER.

But here's what I've learned and honestly it kind of changed everything for me, your skin is one of the clearest signs of what's happening INSIDE your body. And most of us are only ever treating the outside.

Why Skin Health From Within Starts in the Gut

I know. It sounds a little out there.

But when your gut's out of balance, it almost always shows up on your skin. Inflammation in the gut triggers inflammation on the skin. Poor digestion means your body can't absorb nutrients properly, and your skin is one of the first places you'll see that.

It's all connected. And once you understand that, so much starts to make sense.

For me, one of the biggest things I've done for my skin didn't come from a skincare aisle. It came from adding Gold to my daily routine. The turmeric and apple cider vinegar support gut health and inflammation, and I genuinely noticed a difference in my skin over time. Consistently. Not overnight, but it showed up.

What Else Your Skin Might Be Telling You

Here's a few other things your skin communicates that most people miss:

You're dehydrated. And I don't just mean not drinking enough water, I mean your body isn't actually absorbing and using what you're drinking. That's why I love Hydrate. It helps your body actually USE the water instead of just passing through.

Your collagen support needs some love. As we get older, our bodies produce less collagen naturally. You'll notice it in your skin, less firm, less plump, not as glowy. That's where Glow comes in for me. Two gummies a day. Vegan collagen support, Biotin, Vitamins A, C and E. Simple and consistent, and the kind of thing that actually moves the needle when you stick with it.

Your stress levels are showing. High cortisol breaks down collagen, causes breakouts, and speeds up aging. So honestly? Protecting your sleep and supporting your nervous system IS a skincare strategy. Don't sleep on that.

The Shift That Actually Changes Things

Most of us have been taught that skincare lives in the bathroom cabinet.

But real skin health from within? It happens at the dinner table. In your supplement routine. In how you're fueling and supporting your body every single day.

Jaime Miller talked about how she stopped needing makeup and filters after starting Glow. That gorgeous glow didn't come from a new serum. It came from her body finally getting what it needed from the inside.

Your skin wants to thrive. It really does.

So next time something feels off when you look in the mirror, instead of reaching for another product, ask yourself what might be going on on the inside first.

That's where the real shift begins.

Love,

Breanna M.
